Who attends there?

Our school runs from Kindergarten through Grade 12, with graduating students receiving the same Dogwood Diploma as students in the BC public school systems.  We refer to our student body as being interdenominational, as they come from a wide variety of churches in the area.

What curriculum do you use?

As a Class 1 Independent School, Christian Life School teaches BC Curriculum, K to 12.  As a Christian school, concepts are presented from a Biblical point-of-view when appropriate.  Morning devotions, Bible classes, and Chapel are classified as locally developed courses.  We attempt to include local pastors as well as ministries that come to our community and Christians willing to share with our students and staff during these times.

Do you teach French?

French is taught in all grades, beginning in Kindergarten.

How do I register?

The first step for those interested in registering students at our school, is to read over the Family Handbook.   Secondly, fill out an application form, and submit it to our office.  All new families are invited to an interview with a committee, and once they have made a decision the new family is invited to submit registration papers for each child.

What do parents say about the school?

The following are comments made by our parents in a survey done in February of 2002, asking them what they see as our strengths.

Good teaching of Christian principles.  Great teachers!

The teachers are very involved with their students and really care about the kids as well.

A good variety of programs and extra-curricular activities.

Small class sizes; teachers willing to help child succeed in weak areas; open communication.

This school extends mercy, grace and compassion to the students, but it also expects accountability and responsibility from the students in return.

Lots of love and patience.

Discipline, structure, wonderful staff, teaching of the Bible.

A wonderful warm atmosphere for learning and developing friendships.

Education superior to public school in terms of content and amount.

Caring teachers, praying staff, dress code, anti-bullying program.

Good organization, caring attitude toward the kids, teachers and support staff.

Academics, smaller class sizes, application of biblical principles are strengths of this school.

Small class sizes, good teachers and principal, committed to their students.

Strong academics; anti-bullying program

Teachers with a heart for God and for the students, creative, interested, open to communication, aware of what kids need “connected”.  Always heading “up”, always wanting to improve things.

Very pleasant teachers; most of all the school is God-centred.

Overall we are very satisfied with CLS and the spiritual growth of our children.  Both kids have become more self-confident and really enjoy school.
