SCHOOL BOARD INTRODUCTIONS

Steve Brousson

Chairman

Steve and his wife Trish have had three children attend CLS , one of whom has already graduated and carried on to post secondary education.  Although Steve has always enjoyed working with people to make organizations able to serve and reach goals, he really enjoys working together and individually with the Board members, creating the vision of the school.

Don Irwin

Principal

Don has been Principal at CLS for eight years, and in this position is an automatic Board member.  His wife Carolyn teaches Grade One, and they enjoy having three of their grandchildren attend CLS .  Don has been involved in Christian education for 26 years, having children attend the public school, homeschooling, and Christian School .  Whole school assemblies every Monday and Chapels are times that Don looks forward to.

Phil Troyer

Assistant Chairman

Phil and his wife Cheri have one child at CLS .  When they enrolled their daughter in Kindergarten Phil wanted to be involved in the school in some way.  He enjoys working with the Board and parents in the school towards a common goal.

Dianne Bilinski

Treasurer/Controller

Dianne and her husband Ron have had one child at CLS , and a grown son who attended the public school system.  Experience in both systems has contributed to her strong belief in Christian education.  Since she feels it is important to be involved in her child’s education on many levels, she has been a part of the School Board for three years.  In the school open communication between parents, teachers, and Board is encouraged.  Her favourite parts of CLS are the way her daughter loves the school, feels safe, is cared for, and the Christian perspective that is taught.

Lynette Kovacs

PAT President

Lynette and her husband Andrew now have one child in CLS. Their two older children are CLS graduates. She enjoys being involved with other Christian families in educating their children. The Parent Advisory Team (PAT) meets monthly to address any issues, fundraise, liaise between parents and school, and generally help out wherever needed. As president of the PAT, Lynette is an automatic Board member.

Wayne Harder

Wayne and his wife Marie have four children at CLS , both in elementary and high school.  Wayne is a businessman who has been a part of the School Board for three years.
